This position is responsible for managing project teams to successful completion of all project deliverables, related documents and coordination of project requirements. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of a project lifecycle with a primary focus on field execution in accordance with industry and CCI Inc.’s codes and standards. Projects may range from small scale integrity upgrades, to trenchless installations, to full scope pipeline and facility designs and construction management support. This is an intermediate level position, and the incumbent will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Construction Manager, Pipeline & Facilities Manager and/or Trenchless Engineering Manager.

This position is a full-time role beginning immediately, based out of either our Calgary or Edmonton office with a focus on site based projects.

Varies. This role prioritizes site based projects and candidate must have the ability for travel to various job sites when needed. When not in the field, candidate will be based in either our Calgary or Edmonton Office.


  • Ensuring the successful execution of projects.
  • Inspecting, Monitoring, and Reporting of daily construction activities on behalf of the Company and our Clients.
  • Management of Change duties where required, including RFI coordination.
  • Managing project schedules and budgets.
  • Quality Control and ensuring project adherence to design and specification.
  • Championing CCI’s HSE policies as they apply to construction projects.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, staff and other employees.
  • Technical coordination with various disciplines, both internal and external.  
  • Maintain and grow a working knowledge of the applicable design codes and standards including CSA Z662, ASME B31.3/4/8, and PRCI PR-277-144507.
  • Coordinate department resources as needed. Including 3rd Party Subcontractors and Vendors where applicable.
  • Maintain consistent involvement with CCI Construction and Engineering Managers to ensure overall coverage of department operations is enacted. 


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an Accredited University, or  Graduate from a Technical Post-Secondary Program.
  • Registered as Professional Engineer with APEGA, or C.E.T / P.Tech with ASET.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a related field
  • Knowledge in piping codes (CSA, ASME, PRCI, API)
  • Knowledge in design of pipeline and facility systems
  • Experience in managing small to mid size projects
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • An excellent communicator and team player, able to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment with a positive attitude
  • Detail-oriented, meticulous, and have strong organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn and take additional responsibilities
  • Quality and Safety oriented mindset

Other Assets (Skills & Training):

  • Standard First Aid & CPR, ATV Safety Training and H2S Alive
  • Knowledge of Esri-based field and office products
  • Experience with timber cruising, silviculture surveying, FireSmart, tree planting program supervision and / or cutblock layout
  • Academic background in Forestry or Environmental Management
