Geoterra is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an open vacancy for the position of Silviculture Forester. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in operational forestry, such as silviculture, forest development, timber cruising and harvesting.

Accountabilities
- Professional oversight of company silviculture activities, including planting, surveys, treatments, and reporting
- Assisting with timber cruising and timber investigations;
- Assist in cutblock, road layout and assessments
- Assist with the riparian and ecosystem assessments;
- Data collection and entry;
- Additional adhoc assistance requirements needed by the supervisor;
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a natural resource field.
- Registered or able to register with the Association of BC Forest Professionals (RPF, RFT).
- Positive attitude, highly organized, with a proven ability to provide supervision and mentor junior staff members.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in silviculture.
- Specific experience with planting, silviculture surveys, stand tending prescriptions, various silvicultural treatments, ecological data collection and riparian classification.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
